Colorado House Resolution recognizing District Wildlife Manager Bob Holder for 50+ years of service, from 1975 until his retirement on March 1, 2026, entirely in the Trinidad West District of southern Colorado

Holder trapped and transferred over 850 Merriam's turkeys throughout Colorado and Utah and trapped 240 birds for the state's wild turkey research program

Instrumental in acquiring the 30,000-acre Bosque del Oso State Wildlife Area (Colorado's largest SWA) and helped protect over 78,000 additional acres through perpetual conservation easements

Received multiple awards including John D. Hart Wildlife Officer of the Year (1996), North American Wildlife Officer of the Year (2002), and National Wild Turkey Federation National Enforcement Officer of the Year (2006); Las Animas County proclaimed June 10 as "Bob Holder Day" in 2018

Resolution extends gratitude from the Colorado House of Representatives and directs that a copy be sent to Holder
