Removes "cohabitation" as an act that can constitute bigamy under Colorado law, leaving only marriage or entering a civil union while already married/in a civil union as criminal conduct

Repeals the statutory definition of "cohabitation" (living together under the representation of being married) from section 18-6-203

Applies to both married persons and those in civil unions who subsequently form relationships with others

Effective date of August 12, 2026, assuming the legislature adjourns on May 13, 2026, subject to potential referendum
