Federally licensed dealers must record buyer information including name, address, date of birth, ID number, and firearm barrel details, retaining records for at least 5 years

Colorado Bureau of Investigation must create a standardized form for dealers to record firearm barrel sales and transfers

Exemptions include sales to law enforcement agencies, U.S. military, federal firearms licensees, federally licensed collectors of curios/relics, and transfers occurring as part of a simultaneous firearm purchase with background check
