Lewis H. Entz (September 7, 1931 – December 10, 2025) served as a Colorado State Representative for eight consecutive terms (1983-1998) and State Senator for District 5 (2001-2006), representing rural southern Colorado counties

Korean War Marine veteran (1951-1953) who built a successful potato farming operation in Hooper, Colorado, growing from 160 acres to over 1,000 acres while simultaneously serving in the legislature

Sponsored nearly 70 water bills, including the 2004 legislation creating Subdistrict One in the Rio Grande Water Conservation District, which became a national model for water management

Created the Colorado Division of Aeronautics through House Bill 88-1250, with the bill signing taking place on the wing of his own aircraft on May 24, 1988
