Recognizes arts education disciplines including dance, media arts, music, film, theatre arts, and visual arts as essential elements of a complete education

Acknowledges that Colorado is one of only two states that does not collect data on course-level arts offerings across districts or student participation in specific art forms

Notes that while arts standards are embedded in Colorado academic standards and updated every six years, no statewide instructional requirement exists for elementary, middle, or high schools

Directs copies of the resolution be sent to Governor Jared Polis and the Colorado State Board of Education
