Law enforcement agencies (State Police, local police departments, and constables) must notify the Commissioner of Consumer Protection within one week of completing investigations involving serious injury or death of a person under 21 years old who was served alcohol by a permit holder

Notifications must be submitted in writing and include the injured or deceased person's name, date and time of the alleged incident, the permit holder's name and address, and the investigation outcome

Retailers using electronic pricing systems with barcode scanners and cash registers must implement a verification requirement to ensure alcoholic liquor is not sold to minors under 21 years of age

Both sections take effect October 1, 2010
