Repeals and revises Section 19a-404 regarding the Chief Medical Examiner's qualifications, requiring a medical degree with four years postgraduate pathology training and forensic pathology experience.

Transfers salary-setting authority for the Chief Medical Examiner from the Commission on Medicolegal Investigations to the Commissioner of Administrative Services, who reviews and approves salary recommendations and annual increments submitted by the Commission.

Repeals and revises Section 19a-405 to require the Commission on Medicolegal Investigations to submit salary recommendations for the Deputy Chief Medical Examiner and other professional staff to the Commissioner of Administrative Services for review and approval.

Implements gender-neutral language throughout both sections, replacing masculine pronouns with "he or she" and "his or her" to apply equally to all positions.
