Amends Section 17a-451 of the 2010 Connecticut General Statutes to permit information sharing between the Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services and the Department of Social Services.

Allows the Commissioner of Mental Health and Addiction Services to enter into a memorandum of understanding with the Commissioner of Social Services for sharing information about hospital admissions and inpatient services.

Applies to clients of the Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services who reside in the community, receive services in the community, and are covered by Medicaid.

Information sharing is limited to monitoring and improving the quality of targeted case management services funded by the Medicaid program.

Effective October 1, 2010.
