Personnel, medical, and similar files of current or former employees of the Department of Correction or Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services are exempt from Freedom of Information Act disclosure requests.

Exemptions include security investigation records and discrimination complaint investigations conducted by these departments regarding their employees.

The exemption applies specifically when disclosure is requested by individuals in custody or supervision of the Commissioner of Correction or confined in the Whiting Forensic Division of Connecticut Valley Hospital.

Board of Pardons and Paroles members and employees within the Department of Correction are covered under the definition of Department of Correction employees.
