University of Connecticut Cooperative Extension Service shall develop and implement nonagricultural and agricultural integrated pest management programs and provide technical assistance to municipalities, state departments, agencies, and institutions upon request.

Each municipality, state department, agency, or institution must use integrated pest management at facilities under its control if the Commissioner of Environmental Protection has provided model pest control management plans.

Commissioner of Environmental Protection shall develop model pest control management plans incorporating integrated pest management for commercial pesticide certification categories and notify municipalities and school boards of availability.

Commissioner of Environmental Protection, in consultation with the Commissioner of Public Health, shall adopt regulations establishing pesticide application requirements that include integrated pest management methods to reduce pesticide use.

Restrictions on pesticide application at day care centers, preschools, and schools with students in grade eight or lower remain in effect under existing law sections 19a-79a and 10-231b.
