Prohibits registered sexual offenders required to register under sections 54-251, 54-252, 54-253, or 54-254 of general statutes from residing within 2,000 feet of public or private elementary or secondary schools or child day care facilities.

Exempts persons who established residences before the effective date (October 1, 2010) and exempts cases where schools or facilities locate within 2,000 feet of an offender's pre-existing residence after the effective date.

Classifies violations of the residency restriction as a class A misdemeanor.

Effective October 1, 2010.
