Prohibits evidence of health care provider discounts or reduced payment amounts from being admissible when determining the cost of reasonable and necessary medical care in civil negligence actions.

Applies to actions filed on or after October 1, 2010, and amends Section 52-572h of the general statutes.

Adds definition of "health care provider" to reference Section 52-184b in the comparative negligence statute.

Preserves existing comparative negligence provisions allowing claimants to recover if their negligence is not greater than the combined negligence of defendants.
