Requires individual health insurance policies to provide coverage for renewals of prescription eye drops when requested less than thirty days from the original prescription or last renewal date, if the prescribing physician indicates additional quantities are needed on the prescription.

Requires individual health insurance policies to cover one additional bottle of prescription eye drops every three months when requested at the time the original prescription is filled, if the prescribing physician indicates the additional bottle is needed for use in a day care center or school.

Applies the same coverage requirements for prescription eye drops to group health insurance policies.

Effective date: January 1, 2011.

Amends sections 38a-492m and 38a-518l of the Connecticut General Statutes.
