Eliminates statute of limitations for prosecution of capital felonies, class A felonies, violations of sections 53a-54d or 53a-169, and offenses committed with intent to prevent discovery or apprehension of persons responsible for capital felonies or violations of sections 53a-54a, 53a-54c, or 53a-54d.

Maintains five-year statute of limitations for offenses punishable by imprisonment exceeding one year that are not covered in the unlimited category.

Maintains one-year statute of limitations for all other offenses not covered in the unlimited category.

Allows prosecution within the applicable limitation period if the defendant fled and resided outside Connecticut during that period.

Takes effect October 1, 2010.
