Repeals and replaces Section 17b-338 of the general statutes regarding the Long-Term Care Advisory Council, effective July 1, 2010.

Changes the title of one council member position from "State Nursing Home Ombudsman" to "State Long-Term Care Ombudsman."

Changes the Connecticut Association for Homecare position from "executive director" to "president and chief executive officer" and adds "and Hospice" to the organization name.

Adds a new 26th council member position: a person with expertise in mental health issues, appointed by the president pro tempore of the Senate.

Council shall advise the Long-Term Care Planning Committee and actively seek recommendations from persons with disabilities and long-term care service recipients reflecting the state's socio-economic diversity.
