Increases high school graduation credit requirement from 20 to 22 credits for classes graduating in 2016 and thereafter.

Adds a mandatory minimum of 2 credits in world languages to graduation requirements, effective for the 2016 graduating class and beyond.

Allows world language credits to be earned through multiple methods: grades 6-8 courses, online coursework, nonprofit provider courses, or passing a Commissioner-approved proficiency examination.

Limits students to earning no more than 4 credits through alternative methods (grades 6-8 courses, online, nonprofit providers, or proficiency exams combined).

Maintains existing requirements for English (4 credits), mathematics (3 credits), social studies including civics (3 credits), science (2 credits), arts/vocational education (1 credit), and physical education (1 credit).
