Repeals requirement that primary polling places be the same as general election polling places, allowing registrars of voters to designate primary polling places at least 90 days prior to the primary.

Requires registrars to notify electors by mail at least 30 days before a primary if their primary polling place differs from their general election polling place.

Allows a single certified moderator to serve as moderator for multiple primaries held on the same day for different political parties if registrars agree.

Maintains requirement that both parties' primaries be held in the same room when unaffiliated electors are authorized to vote in either party's primary.

Effective from passage; amends Connecticut General Statutes sections 9-438 and 9-436(d).
