Secretary of the Office of Policy and Management, Commissioners of Environmental Protection and Public Health, and chairperson of the Department of Public Utility Control must develop a state-wide water use plan by October 1, 2011.

Plan development shall review and consider findings from reports under Connecticut General Statutes sections 25-33n to 25-33p and water supply plans under section 25-32d.

Completed state-wide water use plan must be submitted to joint standing committees of the General Assembly with cognizance over environment, public health, and energy matters by January 1, 2012.

Act takes effect upon passage and creates a new section of statute.
