Commissioner of Children and Families shall convene a working group to study and recommend ways to reduce youth violence, effective upon passage.

Working group shall include representatives from local law enforcement agencies, youth violence service providers, local boards of education, and organizations with expertise in juvenile delinquency or youth violence.

Convening group shall consult with Commissioners of Public Safety, Education and Social Services and the Chief Court Administrator.

Working group must submit findings and recommendations to the select committee on children and joint standing committees on public safety, education, human services and the judiciary by January 1, 2012.
