Defines "Internet dating service" as a for-profit entity offering dating, relationship, or matrimonial services through the Internet.

Requires Internet dating services to provide Connecticut members a safety awareness notification at registration and via a link on the main website containing specific safety guidance and cautionary statements.

Mandates notification include statements warning against sharing personal identifying information, meeting strangers without precautions, and advises members to inform others of meet locations and always meet in public places.

Classifies violations of the notification requirements as unfair or deceptive trade practices under Connecticut General Statutes section 42-110b.

Takes effect October 1, 2011.
