Labor Commissioner must review the Labor Department's enforcement and investigative responsibilities under Connecticut General Statutes chapters 556-573 by January 1, 2012.

Commissioner shall develop and submit a plan to the Governor and the joint standing committee on labor recommending coordination and consolidation of enforcement and investigative responsibilities to improve timeliness and efficiency.

Plan must include recommendations for investigating and enforcing (1) wage and hour standards, (2) employee classification, (3) licensing and apprenticeship requirements, (4) unemployment and workers' compensation requirements, and (5) safety and health standards.

Plan shall include recommendations for coordinating investigative and enforcement activities with other state agencies having related functions.

Plan shall include recommendations for administrative or legislative actions needed to consolidate the Labor Department's enforcement and investigative responsibilities.
