Repeals and replaces subsection (f) of section 14-10 of the general statutes, effective October 1, 2011.

Expands state marshal access to Department of Motor Vehicles records by allowing them to request personal information for use in performing duties under any provision of the general statutes, rather than limiting access to section 6-38a only.

Removes the requirement that information be provided by facsimile transmission or other specified means within a reasonable time.

Maintains existing disclosure provisions allowing Department of Motor Vehicles to share personal information with federal, state, and local government agencies, insurance companies, private detectives, labor organizations, and other entities for specified lawful purposes.
