SB 889 - Technical Corrections to Public Safety Statutes

• Removes the article "State" from multiple references to the "State Fire Safety Code" throughout the General Statutes, changing it to "Fire Safety Code" for consistency.

• Replaces "first selectman" with "chief executive officer" in sections governing bazaar and raffle permits and reporting requirements (sections 7-173 through 7-185a).

• Changes references to qualified persons from "which" to "that" in bazaar and raffle regulations and related statutory sections for grammatical accuracy.

• Adds reference to section 12-562 as basis for assessment of Division of Special Revenue costs in lottery agent licensing and related regulatory functions (section 12-806).

• Updates references to State Building Code and Fire Safety Code regulations in sections governing state building permits, code training programs, historic structure rehabilitation, and school building construction standards.
