Raised Bill No. 902 Summary

• Commissioner of Economic and Community Development must submit an annual report to the Commerce Committee by January 1, 2012, and every year thereafter with recommendations on educating businesses about licensing requirements, tax incentive programs, and economic development assistance available during registration.

• Secretary of the State must establish policies and procedures by January 1, 2012, in consultation with the Commissioner of Economic and Community Development, to streamline and expedite business registration using existing budgetary resources.

• Report recommendations shall address both administrative and legislative actions needed to educate emerging businesses in the state about available resources and incentives at the time of registration with the Secretary of the State under titles 33 or 34 of the general statutes.
