• Updates elections terminology throughout Connecticut statutes to replace "voting machines" with "voting tabulators" to reflect current voting technology standards.

• Changes "ballot label" terminology to "ballot" throughout the statutes for consistency and clarity in election procedures and regulations.

• Removes outdated provisions related to voting machine mechanics and simplifies election official requirements by eliminating the position of voting machine mechanic.

• Modernizes voting booth staffing requirements by reducing the ratio from one booth per 2,400 electors to one booth per 500 electors, and permits one certified moderator to serve both primaries when multiple political parties hold primaries on the same day.

• Repeals obsolete sections (9-6a, 9-242c, 9-243, 9-270, 9-271, 9-273 to 9-276, and 9-279 to 9-306) related to outdated voting machine specifications and procedures.
