Repeals the prohibition against first selectmen who serve as police chiefs from obtaining permits for the sale of alcoholic liquor.

Maintains existing restrictions on alcoholic liquor permits for state marshals, judicial marshals, judges, prosecuting officers, and police officers.

Continues to prohibit minors from obtaining permits for the sale of alcoholic liquor.

Prohibits constables performing criminal law enforcement duties and special constables from obtaining permits.

Takes effect upon passage and amends Connecticut General Statutes Section 30-45.
