Repeals and replaces Section 29-31 of the general statutes governing pistol and revolver sales, effective October 1, 2012

Requires the permit for selling pistols or revolvers to be exposed to view within the room, store, or place where sales occur

Deems premises of organized collectors' group meetings and gun shows as extensions of the permitted sales location

Requires vendors to personally know the purchaser or obtain evidence of identity before delivering a pistol or revolver

Mandates vendors maintain records of each sale including date, firearm specifications, purchaser information, and signatures for at least six years
