Allows planning commissions and zoning commissions to notify regional planning agencies of subdivision and zoning applications by electronic mail in addition to certified mail, effective October 1, 2012

Regional planning agencies must designate an electronic mail address on their Internet web site for receiving such notices

If a planning or zoning commission sends notice by electronic mail and does not receive confirmation of receipt within the required timeframe, it must send the notice again by certified mail not later than 25 days before the public hearing

Applies to subdivisions affecting multiple municipalities within regional planning agency areas and to zoning changes within 500 feet of another municipality's boundary
