Establishes a task force to examine methods and incentives for encouraging consumers to purchase food products with traceable origins in Connecticut

Task force composition includes 11 members: six legislative appointees (one each from House Speaker, Senate President Pro Tempore, House Majority Leader, Senate Majority Leader, House Minority Leader, and Senate Minority Leader), one gubernatorial appointee, Commissioners of Agriculture and Economic and Community Development, and representatives from the Connecticut Food Association and Connecticut Food Policy Council

All task force appointments must be completed within 30 days of the act's effective date, with the first meeting scheduled within 60 days

Task force shall submit findings and recommendations to relevant joint standing committees by January 1, 2013, at which point the task force terminates

Administrative support provided by joint standing committee staff with cognizance over the Department of Agriculture and Department of Consumer Protection
