Prohibits awarding animals, reptiles, or birds as prizes at bazaars, carnivals, raffles, or drawings at places of amusement.

Amends section 7-177 to exclude animals, reptiles, and birds from acceptable prize categories, which are limited to merchandise, gift certificates, services, and lottery tickets.

Amends section 53-250 to establish penalties of up to $100 fine and/or up to 30 days imprisonment for using animals, reptiles, or birds as prizes, for solicitation purposes, or for exhibition to attract business.

Exempts educational institutions, zoological gardens, theatrical exhibitions, circuses, and cow-chip raffles from the prohibition.

Effective date: October 1, 2012.
