Changes "standards" to "guidelines" in the existing Good Samaritan law regarding cardiopulmonary resuscitation training from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association (effective from passage)

Extends civil liability immunity to employees, officers, agents, and volunteers of political subdivisions and nonprofit organizations (501(c)(3) tax-exempt) operating temporary emergency shelters during gubernatorial civil preparedness emergencies

Provides immunity from ordinary negligence claims for assistance rendered to shelter residents, but excludes gross, willful, or wanton negligence from protection (effective October 1, 2012)

Defines "temporary emergency shelter" as a facility providing emergency shelter for a specified, limited period of time

Clarifies that automatic external defibrillator immunity applies only to emergency care rendering acts or omissions, not device maintenance or provision
