Amends section 46b-38c(d) of Connecticut General Statutes to require the clerk of the Superior Court to provide judges with written or oral reports indicating whether parties in family violence cases have pending cases on the family relations docket.

Reports from the local family violence intervention unit and the court clerk must be available to judges at the first court date appearance in all family violence cases.

Judges may consider and impose protective orders and conditions including prohibitions on further violence, referral to batterer education programs, and referral for case assessment.

Requires court clerks to send protective orders to victims and law enforcement within 48 hours, and may send orders to law enforcement at victim's workplace upon request.

Effective October 1, 2012.
