Repeals and replaces subsection (e) of section 1-82 of the general statutes regarding whistleblower protections and the Office of State Ethics.

Prohibits any person from taking or threatening official action against individuals who disclose information to the Office of State Ethics, its general counsel, ethics enforcement officer, or staff.

Protects the confidentiality of whistleblowers by prohibiting the Office of State Ethics from disclosing their identity without consent, except when disclosure is unavoidable during an investigation.

Removes obsolete reference to the "State Ethics Commission" and replaces it with "Office of State Ethics" to update statutory language.

Takes effect upon passage and amends Connecticut General Statutes section 1-82(e).
