Amends section 9-167a(g) of general statutes to modify rules for determining political party membership of candidates.

Replaces gendered pronouns ("his," "he") with gender-neutral language ("such person's," "such person") throughout the provision.

Adds new provision that cross-endorsed candidates receiving votes from multiple parties shall be considered members of the party from which they received the highest total votes on that party line.

Clarifies existing rules regarding party membership for candidates applying for enrollment transfer and candidates running solely under a party different from their enrollment.

Effective upon passage.
