Commissioner of Economic and Community Development shall establish and administer a "Connecticut-Made" marketing program effective October 1, 2012 to promote products produced in Connecticut and encourage manufacturing and production in the state.

Commissioner may provide grants to persons, firms, partnerships, or corporations that incorporate "CONNECTICUT-MADE" or "CT-Made" clearly in their promotional and marketing activities.

Commissioner shall implement a multi-year statewide marketing campaign including television and radio advertisements, maintain a website listing Connecticut manufacturers and retailers, and direct manufacturers to appropriate economic development entities.

Commissioner shall promote business relationships between Connecticut manufacturers and institutional purchasers through a website feature and organize statewide or regional events where manufacturers and purchasers can participate.

Commissioner shall report annually to the joint standing committee on commerce regarding program efforts, private sector matching funds received and expended, and shall solicit private sector cooperation and participation within available appropriations.
