Amends section 51-164n(b) of the general statutes effective October 1, 2012, modifying procedures for persons alleged to have committed specific statutory violations.

Removes section 7-283 from the list of violations that trigger the procedures set forth in section 51-164n(b).

Applies to violations of numerous statutes related to public safety, health, labor, and municipal regulations, as well as violations of chapter 268 and certain adopted regulations.

Excludes violations of building codes and health codes from the procedures, except for municipal ordinance violations with penalties exceeding $90 but not exceeding $250 where the municipality has established payment and hearing procedures under section 7-152c.
