SB 122 - Bond Authorizations Summary

• Authorizes $200,000 in bonds for Department of Transportation grant to West Haven for a transit-oriented development study.

• Authorizes $500,000 in bonds for Department of Transportation grant to West Haven for pedestrian improvements at the West Haven train station.

• Authorizes $200,000 in bonds for Department of Transportation grant to Waterbury for a transit-oriented development study.

• Authorizes $23.65 million total in bonds for Department of Economic and Community Development grants to various projects: $1 million to West Haven Center for the Arts, $8 million to New London for a community center and recreational facility, $8 million to Eugene O'Neill Theater Center in Waterford, $3.45 million to Shubert Theater in New Haven, $500,000 to Spanish American Merchants Association in Hartford, $1 million to Shakespeare Theatre in Stratford, and $500,000 to West Haven for Phase II streetscaping.

• All bonds are general obligations of the state with full faith and credit pledge, mature within 20 years, and become effective July 1, 2012.
