Requires persons authorized to complete medical certification of death certificates who certify five or more deaths in a one-year period to use the Department of Public Health's electronic death registration system.

Changes statutory language from "returned" to "submitted" regarding delivery of medical certification to funeral directors or embalmers within twenty-four hours of death.

Applies to physicians, advanced practice registered nurses, physician assistants, registered nurses, nurse-midwives, chief medical officers, and pathologists who complete death certificates.

Takes effect October 1, 2012 and amends section 7-62b(c) of the general statutes.
