Entities designated as regional centers under the EB-5 Immigrant Investor Program (Section 203(b)(5) of the Immigration and Nationality Act) become eligible for financial assistance and grants from the Department of Economic and Community Development, Connecticut Development Authority, and Connecticut Innovations, Incorporated.

Eligibility applies at the discretion of the Commissioner of Economic and Community Development or the boards of directors of the Connecticut Development Authority and Connecticut Innovations, Incorporated.

Eligibility period is limited to entities designated as regional centers on or before July 1, 2015.

Effective date is July 1, 2012.
