• Repeals and replaces Section 20-34 of the general statutes regarding the practice of natureopathy, effective October 1, 2012.

• Clarifies that "Commissioner of Public Health" (rather than just "commissioner") must consent to healing methods recognized by the Council of Natureopathic Medical Education and approved by the State Board of Natureopathic Examiners.

• Defines "natural substances" as non-narcotic substances that do not require a prescription and are only administered orally.

• Permits vitamin B-12 to be administered by injection as an exception to the oral-only requirement for natural substances used by natureopathic practitioners.
