Exempts public safety answering points from providing emergency medical dispatch training and continuing education to their own personnel if they have arranged for another entity (public safety agency, private safety agency, or regional emergency telecommunications center) to provide those services.

Requires public safety answering points that arrange for external emergency medical dispatch services to file documentation with the office demonstrating the external provider meets established requirements.

Maintains existing requirements for emergency medical dispatch programs, including medical interrogation, dispatch prioritization, prearrival instructions, quality assurance monitoring, and physician review of program effectiveness.

Effective October 1, 2012.
