Department of Education and Board of Regents for Higher Education shall develop a plan to ensure all public high school and constituent unit students receive financial literacy instruction aligned with State Board of Education curriculum guidelines, effective July 1, 2012.

Department of Education and Board of Regents shall collaborate with the Department of Banking to identify and leverage federal, state, and private funds to implement the financial literacy plan.

Commissioner of Education, president of the Board of Regents for Higher Education, and Banking Commissioner must report to the joint standing committee on banks regarding the plan by January 1, 2013.
