Establishes that failure to obey traffic signals given by fire police officers directing traffic shall be classified as an infraction under Connecticut General Statutes Section 7-313a.

Adds Section 7-313a violations to the list of infractions handled under the infraction procedures in Section 51-164n(b), making them subject to the same procedural requirements as other minor violations.

Effective date for both amendments is October 1, 2013.

Clarifies that fire police officers must wear proper safety equipment (helmet with "Fire Police" markings, reflective vest or raincoat, and flashlight with red or orange wand) while directing traffic to be recognized as having authority to give traffic signals.
