Requires owners of residential buildings to affix numerals displaying the street number assigned by the town or the customarily used street number on the exterior of the building.

Numerals must be at least four inches in height, positioned between four and twelve feet above ground level, and in a color that contrasts with the background material.

Numerals must be legible when viewing the building from the street centerline between points perpendicular to the building sides.

If a building is set back more than 100 feet from the street centerline or numerals would be obstructed, they may be affixed to a post, sign, mailbox, or other device within ten feet of the driveway entrance.

Violations are classified as infractions, and the act takes effect on October 1, 2013.
