Allows Connecticut taxpayers to deduct long-term care insurance premiums from their Connecticut adjusted gross income for state income tax purposes.

Applies to premiums paid during the taxable year for long-term care insurance policies as defined in sections 38a-528, 38a-501, or issued pursuant to section 38a-475.

Effective from passage and applicable to tax years commencing on or after January 1, 2013.

Amends section 12-701(a)(20) of the general statutes by adding the deduction as clause (xx) to the list of subtractions from federal adjusted gross income.
