Establishes a task force to study care provided to persons with Alzheimer's disease and dementia, including early-stage and early-onset cases, and their family members and caregivers.

Task force shall analyze and recommend on services, legislative policy changes, coordination between state agencies and private providers, case management, facility transitions, and community-based placement alternatives to nursing homes.

Membership includes joint committee chairpersons and ranking members on aging and public health; persons with Alzheimer's disease; family caregivers; advocacy representatives; physicians; healthcare providers; Alzheimer's Association members; long-term care facility representatives; state commissioners and administrators; and the Long-Term Care Planning Committee chairperson.

Appointments must be completed within 30 days of the effective date, and the task force shall hold its first meeting within 60 days and requires a majority quorum for official action.

Task force shall submit findings and recommendations to relevant joint standing committees no later than January 1, 2014, and shall terminate upon report submission or January 1, 2014, whichever is later.
