Amends section 10-206 of the general statutes to require health assessments for grades 9-12 to include hearing screening at twenty decibels.

Hearing screening threshold may be increased to twenty-five decibels only if a student fails the initial twenty-decibel screening.

Referred to the Committee on Public Health during the January 2013 session.

Purpose is to improve identification of and prevent hearing loss among high school students.
