Requires the Department of Economic and Community Development to study the feasibility and cost-effectiveness of extending enterprise zone benefits to major economic development projects outside existing enterprise zones.

Study applies only to projects involving purchase and renovation of commercial property that has been unoccupied for at least two years.

Study to be conducted within available appropriations to the Department.

Aims to determine viability of using enterprise zone incentives to encourage redevelopment of abandoned or unused properties throughout the state.
