Department of Consumer Protection shall amend Connecticut state agency regulations to allow the Commissioner to grant exemptions from the requirement that restaurant and cafe premises have separate toilet facilities for men and women accessible without passing through the barroom

During plan review for new restaurant and cafe permit applications, applicants may request and the Department may grant exceptions to separation requirements between the dining room or lounge and the barroom in multi-room cafes

Changes are effective from passage and must follow the regulatory amendment procedures outlined in chapter 54 of the general statutes
