Enacts the Uniform Interstate Depositions and Discovery Act in Connecticut, effective January 1, 2014.

Allows parties to submit foreign subpoenas (issued by courts in other states) to Connecticut court clerks, who shall promptly issue corresponding subpoenas for service within Connecticut.

Defines key terms including "foreign jurisdiction" (any state other than Connecticut), "foreign subpoena," and "subpoena" (documents requiring attendance at depositions, production of documents, or inspection of premises).

Applies existing Connecticut discovery rules (sections 52-148a to 52-152 and 52-156 to 52-158 of the general statutes) to subpoenas issued under this act, and allows courts to issue protective orders or modify/quash subpoenas.

Repeals section 52-155 of the general statutes and requires courts to consider promoting uniformity of this law among states that adopt similar provisions.
